Cheap one way flight to Los Angeles?
I’m going to America next year for a holiday, and am looking at prices to see if I can afford it. I was wondering if anyone knows any places you can get cheap one way flights to Los Angeles (£200-£300) as the only ones I can find are around £600. Thanks sorry probably should have put more detail!! It would probably be from London next march. When i looked last night, i could get from, London to La, La to san francisco, san francisco to chicago, chicago to new york and new york to London for £750 total. Would preferarably want to get it for £500 if possible...!

You don't give your nationality, but the Visa Waiver program requires that you have a continuing ticket to a foreign destination. You otherwise will be refused entry into the USA by the Immigration Officer. If you plan to enter the USA on a visa then carefully check the requirements as having a return or continuing ticket may be essential. The ticket does not have to be back to your home or point of origin, so you could get a ticket to L.A. and then to Canada (ex. Vancouver) or Mexico. http://www.unitedstatesvisas.gov/visiting.html

how long does a flight from paris to los angeles take
how long does a flight from paris to los angeles take?
If a plane leaves from Paris at 4:30, and is a direct flight, what time will it land in Los Angeles? (this isnt for homework! my boyfriend is flying in and we're confused about what time he actually lands!) Thanks!!!!

I went to Expedia and checked for direct filights between Paris and LA. The flight time is between 11h 30min and 11h 50min so roughly speaking about 12 hours. The time difference between Paris and LA is 8 hours so if he leaves at 4:30pm Paris time (8:30 am LA time) you can expect the filght to land around 8:00 to 8:30pm HTH
2 :
If you fly Air France nonstop, then the flight is around 11 and a half hours long. So if the flight leaves Paris at 4:30 pm, then the plane arrives in LA at 7:00 pm.
3 :
Air France and Air Tahiti Nui operate nonstop flights between CDG and LAX. A 16:30 (Paris time) departure from Paris would arrive LAX roughly 18:55 Los Angeles time. The time zone difference is 9 hours, so when it's 16:30 Paris, it's 07:30 LA. 07:30 LA time to 18:55 LA time = 11 hours and 25 minutes, so there's your answer.

It used to be. But now that the Philippines has been downgraded to Category 2 by the U. S. authorities, I'd recommend anyone other than PAL. The downgrade means that Filipino authorities are not up to snuff as far as accountability in the aviation sector is concerned. Better to use a non-Filipino carrier until this matter is resolved.
2 :
Consider this: in Manila, PAL owns it's own terminal (Centennial Terminal 2). Terminal 1 is for all other airlines. Thus, PAL can and does protect it's arriving and departing customers from the 'extra hands' that meet the passengers at Terminal 1. Whereas Terminal 1 has it's check-in passengers coiling around shoulder to shoulder out onto the hot/humid street just to get through 1 of 3 security check points, not including the check-in desk, PAL passenger's stroll leisurely about in spacious, clean, hassle free space. For this reason, I'd give myself 1 extra hour to check-in if not on a PAL flight. The only reason for flying PAL is because of this: they own thier own terminal and share with no one. Arrival and Departure is quick, easy and hassle free. As far as safety -> would an experienced pilot fly an unsafe plane overseas (the rookies are on the domestic routes)? Probably not. However, try Cathay Pacific - better customer service. JAL is most times cheaper than PAL Spend the few extra hours and 1 connecting flight.
3 :
Not today. Check out Cathay Pacific from San Francisco to Hong Kong to Manila (return). If you are traveling soon they have a special on that will cut the price of Philippine airlines in half and has twice the quality. But hurry because the special is over at the end of April.
4 :
i would not fly with PAL for long haul flights because it lacks entertainment options.
5 :
PAL is the only airline i use when going to and from Los angeles because... 1. Mabuhay Miles accumulation 2. PAL have its own terminal in the Philippines which saves you from a lot of hassles like looong loong lines from bldg entance to security check, stress free.. you can even take a nap lying on their benches since its less crowded that you will always find a vacant seat while waiting for your flight.. 3. Direct flight from manila to LAX which can save you few hours of travel time.. Food is okay, sufficient.. you can always ask for more if you want to.. bottomless drinks from bottled water to juice to sodas to alcoholic drinks.. but PAL is a bit more expensive compared to other Airlines.. economy seats are less comfortable, its a given fact..
