Is there anyway to get cheaper flights to Los Angeles ?
Well i live in Paris, but am US citizen. And all the flights for this summer to LAX are like minimum 1,900 Euros for two people, roundtrip. That is really expensive. So is there a website or anything i can do to find flights around 1,500 ? if not, then would it be worth it ?

Check if you can fly out of a different airport. Right now, with the relative weakness of the dollar, demand TO the us is higher, therefore prices are higher for flight originating overseas. However, I have seen some good deals out of London, which means you might be able to make it work outl even including a hotel stay,

I dont know about you but I found some flights in June and July around $656.00 which is about 485.750 EUR. July is a little more expensive but still under 1900 euros. The cheapest I found is US airways CDG - PHL - LAX 656.00 The next for 660.00 is suprisingly American Airlines cdg-dfw-lax So try those airlines also try Cheapoair.com

Why would you want to go to Afghanistan? It's dangerous there.

I don't believe there's a nonstop route from LA to Afghanistan. However, if there is it would last about 12-14 hours. If there's a connection, it may depend on the connecting airport. If you connect to NY, then the flight from LA to NY is about 6 hours, then to Afghanistan is about 13 hours. If you connect to Chicago, the flight to Chicago is about 4 hours, then to Afghanistan it's about 14 hours. If you connect from Atlanta the flight to Atlanta is about 5 hours long, and to Afghanistan it's about 14 hours. Hope this helps!

A lot of the pricing depends on 1) when you plan to depart and 2) how long you plan to be there. For instance, assuming about a weeklong trip, fares through the holidays are anywhere from $1400-2000 RT. After the holidays, fares are dropping below $1000, depending on which day you depart - cheaper midweek (M, W, Th) than weekends. If you want to fly sometime in Feb-Mar, it looks like all the fares are <$1000. Based on a quick scan, Asiana looks to be your best bet.
