if they fly nonstop about 35 to 50 minutes (most of those flights are flown by the commuters which use smaller planes but the cost is high around $200 or more

what are these people talking about an hour? the flight from san diego to LAX is 20 minutes

wetsofencino is correct, the flight takes at most 30 minutes, lol by the time you've settled down in your seat the plane starts to land at LAX

If you consider the time to get through security, the flight, getting ground transportation and all the rest, you can drive to LA in no more time.

You won't have time to get airsick. But why fly for such a short haul? Take Amtrak.

It's only about 30 minutes, assuming there are no delays on the runway. But remember you still have to go through security and everything just like if you were flying somewhere else. I would recommend Amtrak.
