Yes, but there is a caveat: you don’t get to pick your base when you first go “on-line.†However, the great thing about working for an airline is that you fly for free and thus, most people (pilots and flight attendants anyway) aren’t based where they live. (I lived in Memphis and was based in NYC. My dad lives in Memphis and is based in Philly.) You will likely be on “reserve†for the first few years after you start working, which means you will need a “crash-pad†wherever you wind up. (You can get a cheap apartment with 15 other people – most of you won’t be in there most of the time; it’ just a place to “crash†in case you get stuck.) If you want to do it - go for it. You’ll get to pick a new base sooner or later. (It can be where you want to live, or where the better flights for you depart.) Hope that helps.

There are many airlines that base flight crew out of LAX, try American, United, Air Canada, Alaskan apply right off their websites, current job postings are there and you dont have to pay a US based non related company for training Ticketing agent

Flights from Los Angeles to Oregon
Flights from Los Angeles to Oregon?
I need to know how long it will take to go from Los Angeles, California to Garibaldi, Oregon. If you can tell me if there is more than one place I need to take, that would help too. Thank You =]

The closest airport with commercial service to Garibaldi is Portland, which is about 90 miles east of there. The flight from Los Angeles to Portland is between 2 and 2 1/2 hours in length, but then you'd have to add on the driving time to get to Garibaldi as well (which is another two hours or so).

try www.bookingbuddy.com they have good deals.

hey you didnt define "cheap" but i found things for under 200 dollars, you can probably do it better if you change the dates around some more
3 :
Instead of South Bend to LAX, look for Chicago to LA. You probably can find something for around $200 on USAirways if you go crazy times when most people don't fly. There is a train between South Bend and Chicago.

Where can I find the cheapest flight tickets to Beijing from Los Angeles
Where can I find the cheapest flight tickets to Beijing from Los Angeles?
I have looked into a number to travel agencies and airline companies and was wondering if anyone knows of anywhere I can get really cheap tickets? I appreciate the link, but this is not an international flight company.

For flight only? Try ctrip.com. You have to select the option for English language as it's a Chinese website. Actually, if you go with a flight-hotel package, I have found Expedia to be the most affordable.

Expedia.com and also http://us.terminala.com/webpages/index.aspx i would like to point out that if you can't get a price low enough, just wait! eventually it will go down, but it can go up too! so pick your moment.

Have you tried dohop.com? I searched there and found a price of $804 for a round trip flight. The link is here http://www.dohop.com/?a1=Long+Beach,+Los+Angeles,+Burbank+(BUR,LAX,LGB)+CA+United+States,&a2=Beijing+(PEK,NAY)+China,&d1=040510&return=1&d2=110510
