if you're going to LA sevens, forget it. Even a stork will be expensive to fly at this time of the season

www.jetblue.com (they fly into long beach and burbank)... also www.southwest.com or www.flysong.com they all have good rates.

Southwest Airlines is my personal favorite. They always have some special online flying from certain airports. If you book far enough ahead (a month) you can usually get <$99 one way tickets.
