Is $USD 1300 a good price roundtrip Los Angeles-Delhi

Is $USD 1300 a good price roundtrip Los Angeles-Delhi?
I want a flight from Los Angeles to Delhi round trip, for some time this summer, and the lowest price I have found was in mid to late august for $1300 on American Airlines (even cheaper than Air India). I just want to know for some of you who may have traveled that route before, is that a good price? Should I buy it right away, or should I wait for the prices to go down. I just found another fare for $1200!

That's a good price. Buy it now before prices go up... A few years ago they were lower but gas prices are rising.

Yes, that is a fairly typical airfare on LAX-DEL. I just checked for you using ITASoftware, a travel industry flight route, availability, and price checker. It confirms your $1200 fare (actually $1201) with American Airlines via ORD (Chicago O'Hare airport). Next-cheapest is China Airlines at $1294rtn, and then Continental at $1401 USD rtn. These fares are round-trip, and include all taxes and fees if booked direct fromt the airline. Best and cheapest to book direct from http://www.aa.com I also checked it with http://www.bookingbuddy.com for you to see if it turns up anything cheaper. An air consolidator there called ATI has a small rebate on it, but for such a trip covering great distance and expense, I think it's better to book direct with the airline in case you need service on the ticket enroute.
