Are there any good flight schools in the los angeles area?
I am looking for aviation schools in the los angeles area, and would like some advice on which ones are good etc...also to those who are into aviation, pilots...what would you suggest for education?

the only one i know is at the Van Nuys airport

Try Santa Monica airport. I think Brad Pitt is taking lesson there.

Check out the city colleges in Los Angeles and surround areas. They may have aviation programs for low income or displaced homemakers for free. I once attended the Willa Brown Program (Airframe and Powerplant).Where you also learn to fly. It is probably one of the most intense courses of study I've ever experienced. You'll Love it, If it still exists.

Van Nuys is probably the best place. If you want to spend more money, Santa Monica.
