Flight from Melbourne to Los Angeles via Sydney...?
I'm flying from Melbourne to Los Angeles via sydney in a few weeks. I arrive in Sydney at 10.55am, with a departure of 1.05pm - is this a sufficient amount of time to get a shuttle bus from the domestic terminal and go through security? Also, when I check in at Melbourne, would they give me my boarding pass for the L.A flight, or would I have to check in again with my bags? Any other recommendations of getting from the domestic terminal to the international terminal? Thanks! Flying on Qantas

are you arriving in a plane at 10:55 or driving and getting there at 10:50? if you are arriving on a plane then all you have to do is get to your next gate for your next flight. your bags will be sent to your next plane for you. you also will not have to go through any security since you already did that at the 1st airport. If you are driving there... the rule of thumb is to get there around two hours before your flight is scheduled to take off.

You should have enough time. Since you're on the same airline, you will be given both boarding passes in Melbourne and have your baggage checked through to LAX. Basically all you need to do when you get to Sydney is to get to your gate and clear security when you change terminals. Qantas does provide a bus transfer service between the domestic and international terminals. If you're running late, you might want to pay a taxi to transfer to the International Terminal (T1).
